Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Catheterization
About The Position
Paradise Valley Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations in the cardiac catheterization and cardiovascular laboratory setting. The position addresses psychosocial, physical, and general care needs related to the surgical environment; communicates with physicians about patient conditions; and monitors patients and physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The nurse also helps maintain equipment and inventory, checks procedure-room and equipment readiness, obtains supplies for individual cases, and supports the needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team. The role participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
Requirements
- Active state Registered Nursing (RN) license.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certification and ACLS certification upon hire, maintained as current.
- One year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
Responsibilities

- Assist with maintenance of equipment and inventory.
- Assess procedure-room and equipment functioning and readiness.
- Obtain supplies for individual cases and ensure the Cardiovascular Laboratory team's needs are met.
- Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.
- Continuously monitor and record patients’ conditions while in the Cardiovascular lab.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
