Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Catheterization
About The Position
Paradise Valley Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for its cardiac catheterization service. The hospital is a 291-bed acute care facility and part of Prime Healthcare. The role provides direct care to adult and geriatric patients in the cardiovascular laboratory and surgical environment. The nurse addresses patients’ psychosocial, physical, and general care needs; communicates with physicians about patient conditions; and monitors and records patients’ conditions and physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The role also helps maintain equipment and inventory, checks procedure-room and equipment readiness, obtains supplies for cases, supports the needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team, and participates in performance and continuous quality improvement activities.
Requirements
- Active state Registered Nursing (RN) license.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certification.
- ACLS certificate upon hire and maintained as current.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations.
- Address psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.
- Communicate continuously and as needed with physicians about patient condition.
- Assist with maintenance of equipment and inventory.
- Assess procedure-room and equipment functioning and readiness.
- Obtain supplies for individual cases and ensure the needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met.
- Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.
- Continuously monitor and record patients’ conditions while they are in the Cardiovascular lab.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
