About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The role uses critical thinking to assess patient condition, recognize changes, plan and evaluate care, monitor patient progress, and record pertinent observations. The nurse delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff and works as a team member to fulfill unit goals. Duties may vary by assigned unit or shift. This position is in a Level 2E Special Care Nursery in Elmhurst, Illinois.
Requirements
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing.
- If an Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of the position start date; this requirement is effective September 1, 2021.
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure.
- Current BLS through the American Heart Association.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP) within six months of the position start date.
Nice To Haves
- Prefer 2 years of NICU RN Level 3 experience.
- At least 18 months of experience within the Special Care Nursery clinical specialty, subject to parameters, qualifies candidates for the sign-on bonus.
