Registered Nurse, South Wing 6 Adult Surgical FT Nights
About The Position
Baystate Health is seeking an inpatient Registered Nurse to join the South Wing 6 Adult Surgical Unit at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. South Wing 6 is a 32-bed, fast-paced surgical unit with high-acuity patients and opportunities to develop critical-thinking skills. Two rooms have been converted to double rooms to help decompress emergency department populations. Patients served include orthopedic, trauma, urology, musculoskeletal spinal surgery, endocrine, bariatric surgery, colorectal, and thoracic patients. This is a full-time night-shift position, scheduled 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with every other weekend and rotating holidays. The role is eligible for a sign-on bonus. Experienced RNs with at least one year of RN licensure are listed at $43.16–$65.00 per hour; the posting also provides a system-wide base pay range of $41.82–$66.30 per hour. Actual compensation depends on relevant experience, training, education, certifications, licensure, and other factors. Competitive shift differentials and allowance plans are available. The position requires an active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license, successful completion of the Board of Registration in Nursing Examination, and current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification. An ADN is required; a BSN is preferred. The posting also lists a Diploma in Nursing as required and Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association. Requirements
- Successfully pass the Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and hold a Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification is required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
- Diploma in Nursing listed as required.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- At least one year of RN licensure is specified for the experienced-RN pay listing.
