About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of patient care. The professional nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation of patient care to other members of the healthcare team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide total, comprehensive care to patients by applying the nursing process in an organized and systemic manner according to hospital policy. You will communicate proactively to the health care team, plan of care, changes in patient condition, patient progress, the discharge plan and other relevant information. You will complete admissions according to policy utilizing a multi-system approach for the assessment and reassessment, and document assessment/reassessment, plan, interventions and outcomes according to policy and interpret and utilize clinical data in the plan of care. You will perform accurate and thorough nursing physical assessments and document thoroughly, reassess patient condition per policy, interpret & utilize clinical data in the plan of care, assess patient for potential risk factors, recognize and integrate patient special needs and individualize care, include pain management and supportive care issues in plan of care, adhere to infection control standards specific to patient care, assume accountability for managing the delivery of patient care, be responsible for learning policies and nursing procedure and communicate to, perform accurate and thorough nursing physical assessment, participate in discharge planning, using a multi-disciplinary approach, participate in multidisciplinary rounds, and assist patient/family with grieving process and end of life cases as appropriate.

Requirements

• BSN or BS/BA degree in Nursing required.
• Current RN Pennsylvania state license required.
• Current BLS required.
• ACLS required or obtained by completion of orientation if applicable to area of practice.
• Previous acute care experience preferred.
