About The Position

Wilson Health is seeking a direct-hire Registered Nurse for its Critical Care Department. This role involves providing patient care using the nursing process, collaborating with the healthcare team, and promoting the organization's mission of improving community health. The Critical Care Unit is a 7-bed Intensive Care Unit that cares for patients with severe and life-threatening illnesses and injuries, requiring constant monitoring and specialized support.

Requirements

  • Current Ohio RN license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • 1–2 years of medical-surgical or critical care experience preferred
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred; required within 5 years if not already obtained

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, intervene, evaluate, and teach
  • Care for critically ill patients across adult and geriatric populations
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the healthcare team to coordinate care
  • Support and educate patients and families about disease processes and self-care
  • Maintain professional competency and uphold high standards of nursing practice
  • Lead and guide other team members, including LPNs, HUCs, and PCTs
