About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides care in Lerner Tower 6, a 30-bed adult surgical inpatient unit serving orthopedic, neurological spine, surgery, and trauma patients. The unit is recognized for its Total Joint Replacement care and as a Center of Excellence for spine patients, including those in the travel program. The RN applies nursing knowledge and technical skills to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies, and demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients.

The role requires compliance with organizational policies and standards, protection of patients’ Protected Health Information, and completion of other duties as assigned. Department-specific duties and responsibilities are provided during orientation.

Requirements

• One year of RN experience.
• Thorough knowledge of the nursing process and nursing practice.
• Ability to use a wide variety of technical equipment, including stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers, and electronic monitoring devices.
• Current license to practice as a registered nurse in Ohio.
• Current BLS Provider Certification issued by the American Heart Association; it must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.
• Minimum of a diploma or associate degree in nursing from an accredited program.
