About The Position

The registered nurse (RN) coordinates nursing care, including direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across settings and throughout the continuum of care to meet patient and family needs. Within Mayo Clinic’s Nursing Professional Practice Model and the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, the RN plans, implements, evaluates, and communicates all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. A subset of employees may be required to drive a personal vehicle as part of the role. The position is eligible for TN sponsorship. F-1 holders eligible for post-completion OPT may apply, but this role is not eligible for the F-1 STEM OPT extension. Successful sponsorship requires state licensure and completion of VisaScreen or equivalent certification.
