Registered Nurse (RN) - Per Diem
About The Position
OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture with Select Medical & OhioHealth, is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) for day and night shifts. This role involves providing advanced treatment and comprehensive care to individuals with a variety of complex medical conditions including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $50.00, with differentials for nights and weekends, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus. The hospital emphasizes a team-oriented environment and provides an extensive orientation program, supporting professional growth and success.
Requirements
- Valid State RN License is required.
- BLS is required at hire.
Nice To Haves
- BSN or enrollment in a BSN program is preferred.
- Clinical experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced treatment and comprehensive care to patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas.
- Partner with a Nursing Assistant partner on each shift to manage a caseload and help patients achieve goals and milestones on their individual care plans.
- Receive admissions and/or transfers.
- Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
- Document patient information accurately and timely using EPIC.
- Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including labs and telemetry.
- Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
- Promote continuous quality improvement.
- Instruct and counsel patients and their families.
