About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of nursing care. The professional nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for appropriately delegating patient care to other members of the health care team. This is a per-diem, part-time, on-site position at Lourdes Health System, 1600 Haddon Ave, working 12-hour day shifts. Tier I requirements include 36 hours in a six-week schedule, one non-premium holiday, and one 12-hour Saturday or Sunday shift.

Requirements

At least one year of experience is stated in the Job Information section; the qualifications section lists 0–1 years of required experience.
Associate’s degree required.
New Jersey RN license.
BLS certification required.
Meet the applicable department-specific educational and regulatory requirements in the Nursing Administrative Manual.
Tier I schedule commitment: 36 hours in a six-week schedule, one non-premium holiday, and one 12-hour Saturday or Sunday shift.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Two to four years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess patients and develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care.
Administer, monitor, and document therapeutic interventions and regimes.
Participate in clinical decision-making.
Educate patients and their families or responsible parties about disease processes, individual care needs, wellness, and safety.
Delegate and monitor care provided by other members of the nursing department and healthcare team.
Participate in orientation, education, and development of the healthcare team.
Identify and participate in performance improvement activities.
Maintain professional and departmental competencies.
