About The Position
Our Life Plan Community, Westminster Baldwin Park, is nestled within the desirable Baldwin Park community, known for its walkable streets, charming town center, and welcoming atmosphere. Westminster Baldwin Park, has two open position for a Full Time Cooks to assist in our new Full Service Restaurant. We are a not-for-profit community service organization dedicated and committed to providing services for older adults. We are currently searching for a Registered Nurse to work in the Health Center. In this role, the RN is responsible to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants in accordance with state and federal standards. This position reports to the Director of Nursing.
Requirements
- Must be currently licensed in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse.
- Must be CPR Certified.
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate, and quality nursing care to patients.
- Ability to administer medications and treatments accurately and in accordance with physician orders.
- Ability to maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language and understand and follow written and oral directions.
- Ability to learn computer programs as defined by Westminster Communities of Florida
Nice To Haves
- One year of long term care desirable.
- Home Health, Emergency Room experience helpful.
- Also experience working with developmentally disabled adults.
Responsibilities
- Manage all admissions and discharges that occur on the day shift
- Meet with each Med nurse to review day case load and special responsibilities
- Review all new admissions from previous day to ensure admission check list is completed
- Complete or verify completion of daily skilled documentation for all Med A residents that were assigned for day team
- Review labs and x-rays and ensure all have been addressed
- Complete all skin inspections and Braden inspections according to schedule
- Review doctor’s orders for new and current residents; ensure that care is being provided based on current orders.
- Coordinate care through communication with resident’s family members, physicians, and other health care providers.
