This position is for a Registered Nurse on the PM's Flex unit at Linden Oaks. The role involves assessing patients' conditions, developing and administering care plans, documenting care, and evaluating outcomes. The nurse will welcome patients, promote a safe and therapeutic environment, ensure rounds and precaution records are completed, and collaborate with the Resource and Referral Department for admissions and transfers. They will also be responsible for thorough handoff communication, interacting with patients and families to gather data for care planning, and participating in the interdisciplinary planning process. The role includes ensuring medical problems are incorporated into the treatment plan, assisting in the development of nursing department goals, participating in program evaluation, and attending in-service programs. The nurse will serve as a role model and resource for students, explain policies, utilize community groups to educate about mental health, supervise direct patient care, and work within budgetary constraints regarding staffing, overtime, and supplies.
