About The Position

This is a full-time Registered Nurse position in the Emergency Department at Texas Health Willow Park. The department is a 10-bed emergency department located about 20 miles west of downtown Ft. Worth, open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is a full-service ED with highly qualified nursing staff providing care for a wide variety of patients from neonate, pediatric and seniors covering an array of illnesses and injuries. Requirements

Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
ACLS – within 90 days of hire required
PALS – within 90 days of hire required
NIHSS – within 90 days of hire required
TNCC or ATCN – within 12 months of hire required
ENPC – within 12 months of hire required
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire
1-year registered nursing experience or completion of an RN residency program required

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process: assesses the patient, plans the care of the patient, intervenes as appropriate, evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice.
