About The Position

This is a part-time position with 24 weekly hours, working the night shift. The registered nurse implements the nursing process for each assigned patient, regardless of age, and is responsible for patient care consistent with Kentucky Nursing Laws and organizational policies. The role promotes positive patient outcomes and quality care delivery, contributing to a healthy professional practice environment through active involvement in unit-based and hospital shared governance councils. National Professional Nursing Standards guide nurses in utilizing critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and nursing judgment. The registered nurse collaborates with the inter-professional team to enhance patient outcomes and serves as a role model through continuous professional development and lifelong learning, using the Nursing Process as the framework for providing care.

Requirements

• Active Kentucky RN License
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS required

Responsibilities

• Performs assessment/reassessment
• Develops plan of care utilizing appropriate evidence based standards of care.
• Provides care consistent with policies, procedures, current evidence based professional standards of practice and Baptist Health Louisville’s nursing mission, vision, values and model of care.
• Evaluates patient response to treatment
• Applies critical thinking, clinical reasoning, organizational and leadership skills.
