Registered Nurse -Veterans Living Center PRN - As Needed - Eligible for Shift Differentials

About The Position

Serve veterans and their spouses as part of the care team at the Spanish Peaks Veterans Community Living Center, providing compassionate, high-quality care. This PRN, as-needed position is responsible for organizing and evaluating direct nursing care for a specific assignment. The pay rate is $44.58 per hour, with eligibility for shift differentials: $3.00 per hour for weekday nights (Monday through Thursday, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.); $3.50 per hour for weekend days (Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.); and $5.00 per hour for weekend nights (Friday through Sunday, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.).

Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited learning institution.
Active Colorado RN license required.
Demonstrated knowledge, skill, and understanding of the nurse role in a critical care facility.
Knowledge of gerontology, rehabilitative, or psychiatric nursing.
Ability to operate general office equipment and use computer software applications, including email, surveillance equipment/cameras, scheduling software, and required documents.
Ability to recognize and respond to opportunities for improvement through continual learning, adapting approach to situations, and professional practice behavior.
Knowledge of care-based practices, including creating care plans and leading team meetings.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the public, other agencies, employees, and administration.

Nice To Haves
