About The Position

The Spanish Peaks Veterans Community Living Center is seeking a mission-driven Licensed Practical Nurse to provide compassionate, high-quality care to veterans and their spouses. The LPN is responsible for organizing and evaluating direct nursing care for a specific assignment. This is a PRN, as-needed position paying $32.01 per hour, with eligibility for shift differentials: $3.00 per hour for weekday nights (Monday through Thursday, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.); $3.50 per hour for weekend days (Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.); and $5.00 per hour for weekend nights (Friday through Sunday, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.).

Requirements

Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited learning institution.
Active Colorado LPN license.
Demonstrated knowledge, skill, and understanding of the nurse role in a critical care facility.
Knowledge of gerontology, rehabilitative, or psychiatric nursing.
Ability to operate general office equipment and use computer software applications, including email, surveillance equipment or cameras, scheduling software, and required documents.
Demonstrated ability to identify and respond to opportunities for improvement through continual learning and professional practice.
Knowledge of care-based practices, including creating care plans and leading team meetings.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the public, other agencies, employees, and administration.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of three years of work experience in direct nursing care is preferred.
