About The Position
This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Surgery department at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola. The schedule is Rotating and PRN. The nurse will perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedures. They will also perform circulating functions, monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition, and managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures. Additionally, the nurse will directly assist the operating physician with surgical tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning, and will prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment for use.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required.
- Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
