About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department team and provide exceptional care to a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatric patients, adults, and geriatric patients. The Emergency Department has 64 beds, with 2 triage beds, 40 acute beds, 6 Super Track beds, 2 trauma beds, 10 CDU beds, and 6 psychiatric beds. Common diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. Specialty equipment includes a Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun. The role includes caring for Special Victim's Unit (SANE) cases and floating within the unit as needed. The facility is located in the region of City, State.

Requirements

• Possess a valid nursing license in New York.
• At least 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience.
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically EPIC.
• Complete a skills checklist that matches the specialty.
• Experience administering or managing the listed medications and drips: pressors (Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine), vasodilators (Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG), anti-arrhythmics (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lido), and Sedation (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, TNK, Heparin, Insulin).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to all assigned patients, including Special Victim's Unit (SANE) cases.
• Float within the unit as needed.
• Demonstrate charge capability; this is highly preferred.
