About The Position

The Arbors of Bedford is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to deliver nursing care to residents in a warm, comfortable, home-like environment. The role is part of a supportive team focused on building community and lasting relationships with associates and residents. The position is full-time, with evening hours from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. or night hours from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. The posted pay range is $33–$40.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Current state LPN license and CPR certification.
• Graduation from an approved LPN program, per state requirements.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience working as a nurse is preferred.
• Previous experience working with older adults in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assess, communicate, and document residents’ status.
• Observe and report significant changes in resident behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, Resident Care Assistants, and Executive Director, in accordance with state regulations.
• Direct and supervise the daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants.
• Mentor, guide, and direct Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their jobs.
• Coordinate care needs with community providers through an effective case management process.
• Balance service demands with supporting resident independence.
• Recognize and help prevent elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and report concerns to appropriate sources in accordance with state regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and personal emergency response system alerts, and determine when to call for backup.
