About The Position

Concord Hospital-Laconia is seeking experienced RNs for its RN Float Team. The position provides the opportunity to use diverse clinical skills and competencies across a variety of acute care settings, including medical/surgical and critical care units, and to further develop a clinical skill base. The role involves providing and coordinating patient care, leading the health care team, and serving as a resource person and preceptor.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Registered Nurse licensure with the New Hampshire Board of Nursing.
Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
One year of prior clinical nursing experience.
Evidence of working effectively and positively with patients, care providers, and the multidisciplinary team.
Evidence of the ability to perform as a member of a team.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

Apply purposeful, organized thinking to nursing actions and clinical judgments or decisions.
Gather data through patient histories and physical assessments, interpret the data, and plan and implement interventions to meet patient care needs.
Develop, evaluate, and revise patients’ plans of care and nursing actions in response to their needs.
Document care provided and patients’ progress toward desired outcomes.
Direct and supervise others performing delegated nursing activities.
Teach patients and/or significant others about the plan of care and prepare patients to manage care after discharge, transfer, or preparation for a procedure or test.
Manage time and resources to deliver patient care.
Administer medications.
Provide direct patient care.
Lead the health care team.
Serve as a resource person for the assigned shift.
Serve as a preceptor for new employees.
Perform job-specific requirements and other duties as assigned.
