About The Position

Utilizing the nursing process, the Registered Nurse provides high-quality, direct and indirect patient-centered care. The nurse coordinates patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and communicates the patient’s clinical condition as appropriate, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. The role requires knowledge of growth and development across the life span and the skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to the patient population served. The nurse promotes the nursing profession and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. The position reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
Current licensure in the State of Connecticut.
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification upon hire or within the new employee introductory orientation period, maintained during employment.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification upon hire or within the new employee introductory orientation period, maintained during employment.
Graduate nurses must pass the NCLEX within 90 days of graduation.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English.
Basic computer skills.
Maintain clinical competency during employment.
