About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the VCH Emergency Room - Main plans, organizes, and administers patient care within the scope of their training and expertise. The nurse collaborates with other professional disciplines to provide effective and efficient care and achieve desired patient outcomes, in accordance with hospital objectives and policies and the Tennessee Nurse Practice Act. This is a full-time, 36-hour-per-week day position with hours of 6:45 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. The role calls for a graduate of an approved discipline-specific program and a Registered Nurse license. Responsibilities

Collaborate in establishing plans of care and coordinate and implement care delivery while anticipating patient needs across the continuum.
Analyze comprehensive information about a patient's care and management to determine a nursing diagnosis.
Use the nursing process to evaluate patient progress toward goals and apply appropriate interventions to support effective outcomes.
Employ strategies that promote health and a safe, healthy environment.
Provide patient education and organize care activities, priorities, and resources within areas of responsibility.
