Progressive Care Unit RN Full Time Nights
About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Progressive Care Unit. This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week on the night shift (7pm-7am). The RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge, functioning as an on-shift team member to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is a 32-bed intermediate level of care unit, situated between inpatient and critical care units. While specializing in cardiovascular care, nurses will encounter a variety of diagnoses including CHF, dysrhythmias, DKA, respiratory issues, and sepsis. Nurses on this unit work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide excellent care for a high acuity-based population, offering opportunities to cultivate and expand assessment skills while managing specialized procedures and drips. New Graduate RNs are welcome.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
- ACLS Certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
- Minimum of one (1) year of previous nursing experience required to hold a PRN position.
