About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Emergency at Town Center in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a Full-Time opportunity working Evening shift with a commitment of 36 hours per week. Located in the St. Johns Town Center area, this freestanding emergency center brings Baptist Health’s high-quality emergency services to one of Jacksonville’s busiest and fastest-growing areas. The facility is designed to provide efficient emergency care with advanced technology and streamlined patient flow. Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
  • Hospital Experience
  • Telemetry Experience
  • Associate of Science in Nursing Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

  • Emergency Department Experience Preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing Preferred
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
  • Certified Emergency Registered Nurse (CEN) Preferred
  • Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification Preferred
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
  • Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
  • Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
  • Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
  • Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
  • Act as the patient advocate
  • Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
  • Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services.
