About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) performs functions of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for assigned patients on a unit during their shift. The RN is responsible for managing all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment. They are also responsible for promoting collaboration with all members of the health care team. As a Care Team Leader, the RN develops a work plan and provides clear directions and expectations for the care partner.

Requirements

• NC Board of Nursing (NCBON) licensure - evidence of the individual's NCBON license is acceptable to demonstrate their academic achievement.
• RN or LPN.
• BLS at time of hire from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• De-escalation training (within 30 days).

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• Previous Patient Care Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Serves as a resource/role model to care partners and other health care providers.
• Supports and adheres to clinical standards of care, policies, and procedures.
• Supports IDH with high standards for communication, collaboration, change management and engagement, provider relations.
• Adheres to staffing plans.
