About The Position

AMG Specialty Hospital - Central Indiana Muncie Campus is hiring PRN Registered Nurses (RN) for all shifts. This role involves direct and indirect patient care in a long-term acute care setting, focusing on patients with complex medical needs such as respiratory failure requiring ventilation, vapotherm, high flow, bipap, cpap, and nasal cannula. Patients may also require sedation/pain management, pressor management, and cardiac/anti-arrhythmic management. The position also involves caring for patients with complicated infections requiring long-term IV antibiotics and chronic non-healing wounds requiring extensive treatment with wound vacs and frequent dressing changes. RNs must be able to communicate effectively with physicians and colleagues about changes in patient condition and respond quickly to changes in condition or response to treatment. The role also includes performing general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. AMG offers competitive PRN RN hourly pay rates, applicable incentive pay, and is an employee-owned company (ESOP).

Requirements

• Current Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure
• Current BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing

Nice To Haves

• ICU experience
• National certifications

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in a long-term acute care setting.
• Communicate with physicians, CCO/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
