Registered Nurse - Critical Care - Float
About The Position
Saint Luke’s is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Critical Care Float Pool. This Tier 2 float pool nurse will work across three to four facilities in the metro area and care for a variety of patient populations in the Medical ICU, Surgical/Trauma ICU, Neuro ICU, Cardiac ICU, and Cardiovascular ICU. The role offers the opportunity to work with collaborative multidisciplinary teams and a supportive leadership team. The nurse is accountable for using the nursing process; providing patient care; delegating care tasks; supervising other patient care staff; and coordinating care plans for assigned patients. The nurse consults with other healthcare team members as indicated to support optimal patient outcomes, demonstrates clinical proficiency, and follows applicable policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures. This is a full-time night position, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with floating between Saint Luke’s metro entities. Prior ICU experience is strongly preferred.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse credential required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Registered Nurse licensure in Kansas and Missouri, as listed in the job requirements.
- Associate degree.
- Two years of applicable experience.
Nice To Haves
- Prior ICU experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
