Registered Nurse - Critical Care - Float
About The Position
Saint Luke's is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Critical Care Float Pool. This Tier 2 float pool nurse works across three to four facilities in the metro area and provides care to varied patient populations in the Medical ICU, Surgical/Trauma ICU, Neuro ICU, Cardiac ICU, and Cardiovascular ICU. The role offers the opportunity to work with collaborative multidisciplinary teams and a supportive leadership team. The nurse uses the nursing process to provide patient care, delegate care tasks, and supervise other patient care staff. The nurse coordinates care plans for assigned patients and consults with other members of the health care team as needed to support optimal patient outcomes. The clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and follows applicable policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of applicable experience.
- Registered Nurse credential required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross required.
- Associate degree.
- Registered Nurse licensure in Kansas and/or Missouri as applicable, through the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS).
Nice To Haves
- Prior ICU experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process.
