About The Position
Centra Behavioral Health Hospital is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse to provide compassionate behavioral health care. The RN helps create a safe, supportive environment for patients, delivering evidence-based, trauma-informed care with empathy, dignity, and respect. Centra Behavioral Health Hospital is a new 72-bed behavioral health facility scheduled to open in 2026, serving the Lynchburg community.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Valid RN licensure.
Nice To Haves
- One year or more of behavioral health experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients, develop individualized care plans, and accurately document care.
- Monitor changes in patients’ conditions, respond promptly, and communicate with the care team.
- Administer medications safely and follow hospital policies and nursing standards.
- Provide compassionate, trauma-informed care with empathy, dignity, and respect.
- Support shift leadership, team collaboration, and a therapeutic patient environment.
