Registered Nurse (PRN) Behavioral Health
About The Position
Centra Behavioral Health Hospital is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse to provide compassionate behavioral health care. The nurse helps create a safe, supportive environment where patients receive trauma-informed care with empathy, dignity, and respect. The role includes assessing patients, developing individualized care plans, documenting care, monitoring changes in condition, administering medications safely, and collaborating with the care team. The nurse also supports shift leadership and helps maintain a therapeutic patient environment. Centra Behavioral Health Hospital is a new 72-bed behavioral health facility opening in 2026. It provides evidence-based care for a broad range of mental health concerns in a compassionate, comfortable environment and is part of Lifepoint Health.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Valid RN licensure.
Nice To Haves
- One year or more of behavioral health experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients, develop individualized care plans, and document care accurately.
- Monitor changes in patients’ conditions, respond quickly, and communicate with the care team.
- Administer medications safely and follow hospital policies and nursing standards.
- Provide compassionate, trauma-informed care with empathy, dignity, and respect.
