About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Same Day Surgery department in Clarksville. VUMC is a leading institution in Nashville, Tennessee, dedicated to advancing health and wellness through patient care, education, and research. The Registered Nurse will apply the nursing process to plan and implement patient care, including education and continuum of care planning. This role involves effective communication with the healthcare team, collaboration in establishing patient goals, and evaluating progress. The position also requires ongoing professional growth in accordance with Board of Nursing standards. The Registered Nurse will collaborate in care planning, coordinate care delivery, and anticipate patient needs. They will analyze patient information to determine nursing diagnoses, utilize the nursing process to evaluate patient progress, and apply interventions for effective outcomes. Additionally, the nurse will employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. This is a PRN (as needed) position.

Responsibilities

Applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.
