Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab
About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab delivers quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process. The nurse works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. The role carries out functions according to hospital policy, the hospital mission, and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines. The nurse directs, coordinates, and delegates activities to foster patient- and family-centered care. The position is scheduled for 72 hours bi-weekly, with daily work times of 0700AM–1530PM.
Requirements
- Associate Degree from an accredited Nursing program.
- Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
- BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nursing program.
- ACLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient.
- Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs.
- Makes appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs.
- Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions.
- Assumes personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, the environment, and professional development.
