About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX, is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join our amazing Progressive Care Unit that focuses on Renal Transplant, Urology, Peritoneal Dialysis, Pulmonary HTN, and more. The Temple Memorial campus is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin. It is one of eight nationally accredited Pulmonary Hypertension Centers in Texas. STC 3 is a 35-bed monitored hospital unit that cares for a unique population of patients ranging from young adults to geriatrics. Our diverse patient population includes complex urology patients, pulmonary hypertension patients, kidney and pancreas transplant patients, peritoneal dialysis patients, and radioactive implant cases. STC 3 is the only unit in the hospital that performs peritoneal dialysis. STC 3 is the only floor equipped with lead-lined rooms to care for patients receiving radioactive therapies in the inpatient setting.

Requirements

• Grad of an Accredited Program
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license.
• Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.

Responsibilities

• Peritoneal Dialysis management
• Epidural
• Continuous Bladder Irrigation
• Nephrostomy and Urostomy care
• Complex urinary catheter insertions and care
• Suprapubic catheter insertion and care
• Train in ultrasound guided IV insertion
