About The Position

Adventist Health Columbia Gorge is a 49-bed hospital and healthcare provider serving The Dalles and the surrounding Columbia River Gorge community. The Registered Nurse delivers coordinated nursing care to an individual patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards and the nursing process. The nurse supervises and directs assigned nursing staff at various levels and coordinates care with other disciplines, using critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. This position is represented by ONA.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice is required.
CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor, per Adventist Health policy, is required.
Facility-specific Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor, per Adventist Health policy, is required.
Associates must receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter where applicable; medical and religious exemptions may apply.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
Acute care facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Collect relevant data about the patient’s health or situation.
Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues.
Develop a plan prescribing interventions to attain outcomes.
Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and use strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes.
Identify outcomes for the patient or the patient’s situation.
Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment.
Provide learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members.
Provide health information directly to patients, families, and the treatment team.
Participate in discharge planning to provide continuity of care.
Delegate appropriately and coordinate the duties of healthcare team members.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
