About The Position

The Registered Nurse assesses, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. Actively engage in the health care team, offering both direct and indirect care to patients, families, and legal guardians. Assess the physical and psychological conditions of patients continuously throughout their care journey. Utilize the nursing process in alignment with the philosophy, objectives, values, mission, and core principles of SPBH. Uphold a safe therapeutic environment grounded in our core values. Collaborate as an integral member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, actively contributing to the development, implementation, and documentation of tailored goals and interventions based on patient strengths and psychiatric challenges.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required.
  • Able to produce a valid Georgia State RN license.
  • A minimum of three years experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility.
  • Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications.
  • CPR certification.
  • Successful completion of Management of Aggressive Behavior, including restraint and seclusion policies, within 90 days of employment and before assisting in restraining procedures.
  • Exceptional crisis management and time management skills.
  • Flexibility and creativity with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Calm, organized, and professional demeanor even in stressful situations.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
