We are seeking Registered Nurses to provide care to our patients here at Riverwoods Behavioral Health. Our RN team works hard to support each other and our patients, valuing quality outcomes and care. This role involves providing and coordinating care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining medical records. Nurses will educate patients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions, provide nursing care within the scope of practice, and ensure physicians’ orders are transcribed appropriately. Continuous assessment of patients’ status and timely notification of physicians regarding significant changes are crucial. The role also includes completing nursing treatment plans, utilizing universal precautions, administering medications accurately, documenting controlled substance administration, and efficiently completing admission and discharge processing. Maintaining therapeutic rapport with patients, respecting boundaries, and providing direct attention are key aspects of patient interaction. Additionally, nurses may be directed to provide direction or coordinate unit activities and communicate therapeutically with all involved parties.
