About The Position

Under the supervision of the Nursing Manager, the Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care and clinical support within the OB/GYN department. The RN collaborates with providers and the care team to deliver direct patient care, perform assessments and triage, provide telephone advice, coordinate care, and educate patients on women's health, pregnancy, postpartum, and gynecological services. The RN assists with exams and procedures, administers medications and immunizations, monitors patient health, and supports preventive care and screenings. This role serves as a key patient contact, promoting compassionate, patient-centered care, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting safe, efficient clinic operations in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience, preferably in OB/GYN, women's health, prenatal care, labor and delivery, or family practice.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Knowledge of women's health, prenatal and postpartum care, gynecological conditions, and preventive health services.
  • Experience performing patient assessments, triage, care coordination, and patient education.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) EPIC and standard computer applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based clinical environment while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background investigation.
