About The Position
Join a highly specialized team dedicated to helping patients regain mobility and improve quality of life following orthopedic and surgical procedures. The Center for Advanced Joint Replacement is a 30-bed inpatient surgical unit located at Wilmington Hospital. Our team specializes in the care of patients recovering from elective surgeries, including total knee and hip replacements, bariatric procedures, and select ENT and plastic surgeries. We are seeking a compassionate, customer-focused Registered Nurse (RN) who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values collaboration, and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care. Successful candidates demonstrate strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and a team-first mindset.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience (equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (Candidates without a BSN must obtain the degree within three years of hire in accordance with organizational requirements.)
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to post-operative surgical patients
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on recovery, mobility, and post-discharge care
