About The Position

Harbor Oaks Hospital, New Baltimore's leading Mental Health and Addiction Treatment Center is seeking passionate Registered Nurses (RN) to work at our facility in New Baltimore, MI. This is a full-time position with a $7,500 Sign-On Bonus.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and a current, unrestricted RN license (or eligibility to practice) in the state of employment.
• At least one year of nursing experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• First Aid certification, as required by state or facility guidelines.
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to documentation, and the ability to remain calm and therapeutic in behavioral health settings.

Nice To Haves

• behavioral health, psychiatric, or substance use treatment experience strongly preferred.
• willingness to complete de‑escalation and restraint training (provided upon hire, if needed).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ behavioral and physical health needs and deliver compassionate, trauma‑informed nursing care.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing treatment plans throughout the continuum of care.
• Safely administer medications, including behavioral health and detox protocols, with accurate documentation and controlled substance tracking.
• Monitor patient status on an ongoing basis and communicate significant behavioral or medical changes to providers and the care team.
• Educate patients and families, maintain compliant medical records, and adhere to nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
• Establish therapeutic, professional relationships while collaborating with an interdisciplinary treatment team to support patient recovery.
