About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room Float Pool at Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown, West, and Rutherford facilities in Nashville, TN. The position is PRN (as needed) with a day schedule. The nurse will act as a clinical advocate and care strategist, monitoring and communicating patient conditions for a safe transition to recovery. They will also serve as a safety and precision sentinel, maintaining the integrity of the sterile field, patient positioning, and equipment. Additionally, the nurse will orchestrate the preparation of technology and supplies, staying ahead of the surgical team to ensure flawless procedures.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Needing a flexible schedule and weekly availability.
Previous specialty experience with Spine, Joints, Cardiac, Plastics, Robotics, General and GYN.
