Registered Nurse - Home Health Care
About The Position
Interim HealthCare is hiring Registered Nurses to provide home health care in the Sioux Falls area. Nurses may review and decline an assignment before accepting it if they are uncomfortable with its required tasks. Additional training is provided where needed. The role offers flexible scheduling, variable shift lengths, and day, evening, and overnight shifts. Nurses can manage availability and scheduling through communication with the scheduler and receive 24/7 on-call support from an Interim HealthCare team member. Pay is $35 per hour, paid weekly. PRN and part-time opportunities are available, with the potential for full-time hours. Health insurance is available after one year of full-time employment, subject to eligibility. A 401(k) retirement plan and supplemental Aflac insurance are also offered subject to eligibility; Aflac coverage is available after 90 days of employment. Free continuing education courses are offered.
Requirements
- Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Dakota, or be eligible for licensure through reciprocity or multistate privileges, as applicable.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have previous LPN or RN experience totaling 1,000 hours worked.
- Hold current CPR certification; on-site CPR certification is available for qualified candidates.
- Maintain all required certifications, qualifications, and professional standards.
- Be able to provide compassionate, professional nursing care in a variety of home environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide wound care and monitor wound healing.
- Manage medications and administer treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols.
- Provide care for patients with percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tubes and related feeding needs, as applicable.
- Administer infusions and monitor clients for responses or complications.
- Perform lab draws and collect specimens as ordered.
- Conduct nursing assessments and monitor clients' conditions.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Perform other nursing duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
