About The Position

We are looking to hire a Registered Nurse for our Pain and Spine Clinic in Nampa! As an RN in the Saint Alphonsus Medical Group, you will provide skilled nursing care in coordination with licensed providers while promoting a positive patient experience with compassion and kindness. You will administer medications, maintain a safe nursing area, and provide education and resources to patients and families based on their needs. RN's are also expected to serve as a mentor to clinical staff, maintain accurate documentation, and preserve confidential information. Our ideal candidates have the ability to make decisions and take action in stressful situations, while providing outstanding customer service. They must have excellent communication skills and must be a team player. A background in Oncology and/or Triage experience is preferred.

Requirements

Must have an RN license in the state of Idaho issued prior to hire date.
Multistate licenses must establish residency with the Oregon Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire.
All colleagues must provide licensure or proof of application in process for an Oregon RN license within 90 days of the hire date.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
Meets health system's Guiding Behaviors and Caring Standards including interpersonal communication and professional conduct expectations.

Nice To Haves

Nursing experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
A background in Oncology and/or Triage experience is preferred.

Performs and documents comprehensive physical and psychological assessments.
Educates patients based on assessment of needs.
Assists provider with diagnostic/therapeutic procedures, assuring in a safe, clean, competent manner/environment.
Assists with patient assessment in coordination with a licensed provider.
Maintains a clean, safe, well-stocked nursing area, including patient examination room.
Maintains a complete, accurate, and legible patient medical record.
Obtains continuing education to maintain clinical expertise and RN clinical ladder.
Prepares, administers and evaluates the effectiveness of medications.
Provides clinical triage/communication as defined by protocol or per provider instructions.
Assists provider with examinations and treatments.
Administers oral, rectal, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and Z-Track medications.
Administers Intravenous medications after I.V. course.
Administers Allergens only under the direction of a provider.
Documents patient care observations and activities according to professional standards.
Aids in identifying methods of improving patient care.
Assists or leads in emergency situations.
Maintains a clean, well-stocked patient care area, observing aseptic techniques and other regulatory mandates, i.e. OSHA, CLIA, etc.
Maintains confidentiality regarding patient and business functions of the organization, i.e. HIPPA.
Routes billing information as appropriate.
