RN, Registered Nurse | Pain Clinic
About The Position
This role is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Pain Clinic, located on the 3rd Floor of the Founders Building in La Crosse, WI. The position is scheduled for 32 hours per week, with a Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) of 0.8, meaning 64 hours per two weeks. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with 8-hour day shifts typically falling between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM. Importantly, there are no evenings, weekends, holidays, or on-call duties. The clinic offers an excellent work-life balance and a collaborative team environment where providers and nurses work closely together, communicate openly, and support each other. The role involves building meaningful relationships with patients seen regularly, with a balanced mix of direct patient care and triage responsibilities. The clinic utilizes advanced pain-management technologies and collaborates with specialists across various disciplines.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (minimum)
- Active RN license in Wisconsin
- BLS certification
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility

Nice To Haves
- Minimum 1 year RN experience
Responsibilities
- Perform nurse-only visits, including pre-op appointments and patient education
- Manage intrathecal pump refills, pain agreements, dye studies, and urine drug screens
- Handle phone triage and EPIC in-basket management
- Use and develop a variety of specialized skills in a multidisciplinary environment
- Contribute to a team that values input and supports opportunities to improve care processes and patient experience
