The Registered Nurse (RN) – Float Pool provides high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple departments, including inpatient and outpatient settings. Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Recent Medical-Surgical, Emergency, or Critical Care experience required
Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required within orientation
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – required within 3 months
Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Confidence in managing diverse patient populations
Commitment to patient-centered, high-quality care
Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)
Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer)

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care across assigned departments
Float between units to meet patient care needs and staffing demands
Perform patient assessments, monitor conditions, and respond to changes promptly
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical protocols
Respond effectively in emergency and high-acuity situations
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
