About The Position

As a Registered Nurse, your nursing experience and leadership abilities allow you to develop and implement quality care plans for patients, while acting as a mentor to others on the unit. This role is within the Emergency Department at Clifton Springs Hospital and involves 36 hours per week, with a schedule that includes a mix of Day/Evening (7am-7pm) and Evening/Night (7pm-7am) shifts, rotating weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• BS: Nursing (Required)
• BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)
• RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessment of the patient; demonstrate exceptional clinical judgment and advanced assessment skills; communicate and document assessment with interdisciplinary team; utilize all available resources in order to meet the needs of the patient and family
• Develop and document plan of care, treatment and services; collaborate interdisciplinary health team to deliver care; maintains an appropriate nurse-patient relationship and provides an exceptional experience for the patient and family
• Evaluate, communicate and document patient responses to care; revise plan of care based on ongoing evaluations; ensure the patient receives and understands education/training specific to their needs and abilities
• Provide training for new team members on the unit; assume role of teacher for nursing students and other students shadowing on the unit; act as a resource for other team members for both clinical and non-clinical matters
