About The Position
Texas Health Dallas is hosting a Virtual RN Hiring Event for Full-Time Registered Nurse positions in the Emergency Department (ED). Offers will be made on-the-spot. The department is a fast-paced, high-volume unit averaging 200 patients per day. The role involves responding to basic human needs, honoring human respect, understanding patients' frame of reference, engaging families and caregivers, and mutual problem-solving with patients and families regarding their health and illness.
Requirements
- Nursing Diploma in Nursing required or Associate’s degree in nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
- 1 year of experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
- 1 year of emergency department acute care experience strongly preferred
- RN – Registered upon hire required
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
- ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required
- PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of hire required
- CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training annually within 90 days required
- TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months required or ATCN – Advanced Trauma Care Nurse within 6 months required
- A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
- 1 year of emergency department acute care experience strongly preferred
