About The Position
Lakeview Specialty Hospital & Rehab is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct care and medical management to program participants of all ages receiving traumatic brain injury (TBI) rehabilitation and intensive medical management services. The nurse participates in developing interdisciplinary treatment plans or plans of care, assesses presenting problems, incorporates assessed needs into individual plans of care, and updates and evaluates those plans as necessary. This position is based in a long-term acute care hospital specializing in traumatic brain injuries, neurobehavioral health, and medically complex conditions. Full-time and part-time applicants are welcome. The role has 12-hour overnight shifts starting at 7 p.m. and includes every other weekend in the rotation. Compensation is $41–$48.96 per hour, plus shift differentials of $5 per hour on weekdays and $9 per hour on weekends, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. A per-patient-load bonus is also mentioned. Lakeview Specialty Hospital & Rehab is a Joint Commission-accredited long-term acute care and inpatient rehabilitation hospital. It provides medically complex care, neurobehavioral health, rehabilitation, and community supportive living, with expertise in brain injury, rehabilitation, and complex respiratory care. The hospital is located on more than 80 acres in Waterford, Wisconsin, outside Milwaukee.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- ACLS certification required within six months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct program participant care and medical management for people of all ages receiving TBI rehabilitation and intensive medical management services.
- Participate in developing interdisciplinary treatment plans or plans of care.
- Assess the presenting problems of people served.
- Incorporate assessed areas into individual plans of care and update and evaluate plans as necessary.
