Registered Nurse – McClure 5 – Neurosurgery Unit
About The Position
The Registered Nurse will work in the Neurosurgery Department on McClure 5, a progressive care unit at the UVMMC Medical Center Main Campus in Burlington, Vermont. The unit serves a diverse patient population that includes neurology, neurosurgery, gynecologic surgery, ENT, and other medical patients. Its three-bed neuro step-down unit provides an opportunity to care for more complex patients. This is a part-time, bargaining-union position with 24 standard hours per week and 48 biweekly scheduled hours. The primary shift is 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, with day/night shifts indicated and every-other-weekend coverage required. On-call work is not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in the progressive care unit, including patients with neurology, neurosurgery, gynecologic surgery, ENT, and other medical needs.
- Care for complex patients in the three-bed neuro step-down unit.
