About The Position

Saint Luke’s is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Neurosurgery clinic at the Saint Luke's Plaza location. This is a full-time, day-shift clinic role scheduled Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with no nights or weekends. The nurse provides professional nursing care to clinic patients according to established standards and practices, and supports patient flow and coordination of care. Missouri and Kansas RN licenses and BLS are required. One year of applicable experience is required; previous clinic or inpatient neuroscience experience is preferred. An associate degree in nursing is listed as a job requirement.

Requirements

Missouri and Kansas Registered Nurse licensure required.
Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross required.
One year of applicable experience.
Associate degree in nursing.

Nice To Haves

Previous clinic or inpatient experience in Neuroscience.

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
Provide telephone triage, manage patient flow, and coordinate patient care.
Schedule appointments for patients with emergent needs.
Identify learning needs for patients and families and provide advice and recommendations.
Insert intravenous access and administer medications.
Delegate tasks to clinical staff according to demonstrated competencies and scope of practice.
Serve as a subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation of patient care and testing.
Enter admission orders as directed by a provider.
Manage expired samples.
Work effectively both as part of a team and autonomously.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
Cover Medical Assistant, LPN, or other office duties as needed.
