Registered Nurse, Progressive Care, Full-time
About The Position
The University of Miami UHealth has an opportunity for a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care department at the UTower location. The Staff Nurse is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, evaluates, and delivers patient care through collaborative efforts with members of the interdisciplinary team, in accordance with the nursing process and standards of care and practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient and family teaching. UHealth–University of Miami Health System is a university-based health system serving South Florida, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Its patient care is supported by research and medical education at the Miller School of Medicine.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN.
- Valid State of Florida RN license.
- Three years of Medical Surgical experience.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Any combination of relevant education, work experience, and/or certifications will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Prescribe, coordinate, evaluate, and deliver patient care in collaboration with members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide care in accordance with the nursing process and standards of care and practice.
- Direct and guide patient and family teaching.
